Publishing Policies

Submission Policy

All manuscripts and related materials must be submitted exclusively through FreedomPress’s designated submission portal. FreedomPress does not accept submissions by email, postal mail, or any other method outside the official portal. Any manuscripts or materials sent outside the designated process will be disregarded without response.

Submission does not guarantee acceptance, publication, or offer of a publishing agreement.

Publishing Package Policy

Upon execution of a publishing agreement, the author’s selected package is final and binding. Packages cannot be upgraded, downgraded, transferred, or modified once the agreement is executed unless explicitly authorized in writing by FreedomPress.

Writing Standards Policy

FreedomPress is dedicated to publishing works that inspire, entertain, and uphold moral clarity. To protect the integrity of our brand and the success of our authors, we cannot accept manuscripts that contain or promote the following:

•  Graphic violence or sexually explicit scenes

•  Glamorization of criminal activity, drug use, alcohol, or prostitution

•  Content that is indecent, or offensive to community standards

•  Instructional material for illegal activity (e.g., bomb‑making, drug production, hacking, fraud)

•  Works that promote hate speech, discrimination, or defamatory attacks

•  Pornographic material

•  Textbooks, technical manuals, dissertations, or institutional learning materials

•  Plagiarized or unoriginal works

AI‑Generated Content

FreedomPress accepts manuscripts that include AI‑generated content provided the work is original and not plagiarized. Authors must ensure that any AI‑assisted writing reflects their own creative direction and does not copy or reproduce existing copyrighted material. FreedomPress reserves the right to request disclosure of AI-assisted content during the editorial review process.

Illustrations Policy

FreedomPress accepts illustrations that enhance and support an author’s manuscript. All submitted artwork must align with our publishing values and meet the following standards:

•  Originality: Illustrations must be the author’s own work or properly licensed with documented permissions.

•  Appropriateness: We do not accept illustrations that are immoral, indecent, or promote violence, hate, or explicit sexual content.

•  Quality: Artwork should be clear, professional, and suitable for reproduction in both print and digital formats.

•  Format: Submit illustrations as high‑resolution files (minimum 300 DPI) in standard formats (JPEG, PNG, or PDF).

•  FreedomPress does not design, format, or place interior illustrations. Authors are solely responsible for placement prior to submission.

•  Limitations: FreedomPress reserves the right to decline illustrations that do not meet technical or ethical standards, even if the manuscript itself is accepted.

Audiobook Production Policy

Terms and Conditions

•  Audiobook production cannot be purchased or initiated before the required sales threshold is met.

•  FreedomPress reserves the right to verify unit sales before approving audiobook production.

•  Audiobook production applies only to the contracted manuscript; it cannot be transferred to another book or project.

•  Authors who do not meet the threshold remain eligible for all other package services, but audiobook production will not be offered.

•  These thresholds are firm and non‑negotiable, ensuring that audiobook production is a value‑driven investment rather than an unnecessary expense.

FreedomPress offers audiobook production as a premium, value‑added service. Because of the significant expense and resources required, audiobook production is only available to authors who demonstrate strong unit sales of their published work.

Eligibility Thresholds

Audiobook production eligibility is performance-based and determined solely by verified unit sales.

•  Premiere Package: Audiobook production is included once the contracted manuscript has reached 7,000 units sold.

•  Signature Package (A La Carte Option): Although it is highly discouraged, audiobook production may be added only after the contracted manuscript has reached 5,000 units sold.

Signature Package Guidelines

•  Audiobook production within the Signature Package is highly discouraged.

•  Authors who anticipate pursuing audiobook production should select the Premiere Package, which is designed to support audio as part of the publishing journey.

•  The A La Carte option exists only for authors who achieve exceptional sales performance under the Signature Package.

•  FreedomPress reserves the right to decline audiobook production requests under the Premiere Package and/or Signature Package if the project does not meet the required threshold or align with our standards of value‑driven publishing.

Audiobook Production Cost Limit

FreedomPress provides one audiobook production as part of the Premiere Package. To ensure costs remain reasonable, audiobook production and marketing services included in this package must not exceed a combined value of $14,000. This cap prevents runaway expenses for very long works while still guaranteeing professional quality.

Royalty Policy

All royalty payments and compensation are remitted directly to the contracted party. FreedomPress does not remit payments to agents, representatives, or third parties under any circumstances.

In the event of the contracted party’s death, all royalty payments and compensation due under the publishing agreement shall be paid to the contracted party’s estate or lawful heirs, as determined by applicable law. FreedomPress shall have no responsibility to mediate or resolve disputes among heirs or beneficiaries; payment obligations are satisfied by remittance to the estate in accordance with governing law.

Copyright Ownership Policy

All manuscripts, illustrations, and related materials submitted to and accepted by FreedomPress remain the copyrighted property of the Author.

Upon acceptance, the Author grants FreedomPress an exclusive, worldwide license to publish, distribute, market, and commercially exploit the Work in all formats, including but not limited to print, digital, and audio, for the duration specified in the publishing agreement.

This exclusive license enables FreedomPress to manage production, distribution, sales, and marketing of the Work across applicable platforms and channels during the term of the agreement.

Authors retain the right to pursue film, television, or stage adaptations of their Work, provided that such agreements do not conflict with FreedomPress’s exclusive publishing and distribution rights and are disclosed in accordance with the publishing agreement.

Upon expiration or termination of the exclusive license, all publishing rights granted to FreedomPress revert to the Author, subject to the terms of the agreement.

Dispute Resolution Policy

All disputes arising under these policies shall be governed by the laws of the State of Florida and resolved exclusively through binding arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association (AAA) under its Commercial Arbitration Rules, with venue in Jacksonville, Florida. The arbitration award shall be final and binding. The party against whom the arbitration or any related litigation is decided shall be responsible for all filing fees, administrative costs, and legal expenses incurred by FreedomPress.

Additional Provisions

These policies form part of the FreedomPress publishing framework. Additional binding provisions, including indemnification, termination, and liability limitations, are contained in the FreedomPress Publishing Agreement. In the event of any conflict between these policies and the Publishing Agreement, the Publishing Agreement shall govern.
